My day at Leicester’s Writers Fair

On the 1st of November, I had the pleasure of attending Leicester’s Writers Fair 2025 at the Central Library. This was the first time I had been to an event like this, and from the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.

I learned a lot from a wide range of writers and authors, all ages and at different stages in their careers. There were many genres represented, but the one thing they all shared was their passion for their books.

I really enjoyed talking to them, asking questions about their journeys, and sharing a bit about my own. I also had the chance to discuss Everything Starts with an Emotion, which received some lovely positive feedback — something I truly appreciated. Also, was asked about whether I would be writing future books.
It was nice to discuss the challenges that authors face and realise that every writer, no matter how experienced, goes through them. Hearing about others’ struggles with networking, writer’s block, and book promotion reminded me that challenges are apart of the journey.
Each author had great tips, and as a writer, you never stop learning. You also never know when inspiration will strike. It was a great turnout, and I really enjoyed meeting like-minded people who share a passion for writing and story telling.
Attending this event inspired me to continue writing future books and to continue on my journey.
